Quarfloxin is a novel Nucleolus Targeting Agents (NTA) that induces apoptotic cell death in tumor cells; the compound is in Phase II development for carcinoid/neuroendocrine tumors.
CX-4945 is a first-in-class oral CK2 protein kinase inhibitor that demonstrates broad spectrum anti-proliferative activity in cancer cell lines; the compound is in Phase I development for cancers driven by overexpression of CK2 (for example, breast and prostate cancers).
